LINER ASSEMBLY REPLACEMENT
OR CLEANING
1. R e p lacement liner assemblies are f ac-
tor y -made to the correct length. N o cut-
ting is re q uired. The same liner f its all
s p eci f ied wire si z es and allo y s:

s p ool cover.
3 . Liner removal: G ras p liner with N eedle
nose p liers at p oint A. G entl y work liner
toward cable connector until the liner is
loose in it. Be care
f ul not to scra p e
liner ʼ s gas-tight seal (p oint B ) on con-
nector. Withdraw liner out o f gun tube
( arrow C ) . ( See f igure D.2 )

3 a. Clean out old liner b y blowing out with
sho p air or obtain a new re p lacement
liner.
4. Slide liner, seal-end f irst, into gun tube.

and thread into p lace. Allow the di ff user
to p ush the liner into its f inal p osition.
Tighten to 41 to 47 in.-lbs. with a tor q ue
wrench.
7. R einstall contact ti p and gas cone.
DRIVE ROLL REPLACEMENT
1. The same drive roll f its all s p eci f ied wire
si z es and allo y s ( See Table D.1 ) .
2. R e p lace the drive roll i f its f eeding
groove has become worn or cannot be
cleaned o
f galled aluminum.
3 . Drive roll removal: R emove wire f rom
the wire drive. Unlock drive roll b y rotat-
ing twist-lock in either direction. ( See
f igure D.4 and f igure D.5 ) .
4. Twist-lock is rotated to the locked p osi-
tion, securing drive roll in p lace.
