Section 3. Operation

Begin Logging Data

Note:

Your current instrument configuration can be saved for later use. Click

Config Files

and select

Save Configuration

. Select the items in the Save Options

dialog that you want to store in the configuration file, and click

Continue

.

Start

,

Stop

, and

Eject

buttons are located on the main dashboard and on each tab

under the

Site Setup

menu.

Click

Start

to begin logging data. Data logging will begin automatically when a

suitable USB drive is inserted into the SmartFlux 2 System USB port and any time
the instrument restarts. Click

Stop

to quit logging, and

Eject

to eject the USB drive.

Or, press the USB eject button on the SmartFlux 2 System. Always eject the USB
drive before removing it. After pressing the

Eject

button, SmartFlux 2 System will

save any open files and power off the drive. The LED on the SmartFlux 2 System
will turn off when it is safe to remove the drive.
