5 - FAULTS - DIAGNOSTICS
• Information about the inverter status is provided by the
display.
• Faults are shown in mnemonic form flashing on the
display.
The last ten faults are stored in the memory (even after a
mains power break) in parameter PA.
• Information about the inverter status is also provided by
the display.
• Some inverter states are provided by the logic outputs
(relays and open collector transistors).
5.1 - Display indication - error messages
*
1:
ASIC error,
2 :
EEPROM does not respond,
3 :
EEPROM fault,
4 :
processor error,
5 :
operator panel fault,
6 : EEPROM initialisation fault,
7 : +15V power supply imbalance,
8 : -15V power supply imbalance,
9 : PWM circuit initialisation fault,
10 : stack overflow.
(1) " cL " protection is not active if b11 = 0.20 (0 to 20 mA) or if b26 = 1.
Note : All trips can be cleared using reset, except " Err " which requires the power to be turned off and then back on. Thermal
devices should not be triggered and reset several times in succession.

Solution
UU
D.C. bus
undervoltage
• Terminals L, N (FMV 2107)
Terminals L1, L2, L3 (FMV 2307) :
prolonged undervoltage on the mains
supply.
• Check the power supply.
• Check the power components.
OU
D.C. bus
overvoltage
• Rapid deceleration (inertial load).
• Terminals L, N (FMV 2107)
Terminals L1, L2, L3 (FMV 2307) :
Overvoltage on the mains supply.
• Program a greater deceleration time period at P3.
• Check the stop mode set via b2 and b7.
• Use a braking resistance (optional).
• Check the mains supply.
OI
Inverter output
short-circuit
• Power terminal blocks.
• Wiring.
• Eliminate the cause of the fault.
It
I x t overload fault
• Motor load.
• Adjustment of I x t threshold (parameters
P4, P5).
• Check that the motor is not overloaded.
• Check that the I x t protection is correctly set.
Et
Forced external trip
Terminal C7.
• Check that terminal C7 is conneced to 0V via the
external wiring (in negative logic).
• Check b5.
cL
Loss of current signal
speed reference
Level of current setpoint 4 - 20 mA or
20 - 4 mA. (1)
Check that the input reference level is > 3mA.
Disable the trip via b26 = 1.
PS
Supply fault on
switching
Ter10V and +24V.
Switch the inverter off and then on again. If the fault persists,
consult LEROY-SOMER
th
Triggering of motor
probe
• Motor temperature too high :
PTC resistance > 3 k
Ω
or open PTO.
• Check the motor load.
• Reduce the authorised overload level.
• Check the motor ventilation and the ambient temperature.
• Check the probe wiring between C6 and C7.
Oh
Cooling unit
overheated
• Cooling fans (for those which are
equipped with them).
• Ambient temperature.
• Check that :
- the fans are turning,
- the cooling holes are not obstructed,
- the ambient temperature is lower than 50
°
C,
- there is sufficient space around the inverter.
EE
NOV RAM error
• All parameters = factory setting.
Please consult LEROY-SOMER.
Err
*
Hardware trip when
unit switched on
Control card, operator panel
Reset is not active.
Switch the inverter off and then on again. If the fault persists,
consult LEROY-SOMER.
