ThinkSystem USB Conversion Cables for Analog KVM (SC17A30048)
One ThinkSystem USB Conversion Cable for Analog KVM, order p/n 4X97A11106, cable is a
combination of Computer Interface Module (CIM) and standard network patch cable.
Each ThinkSystem USB Conversion Cable for Analog KVM cable comes with an HD15 VGA
connector, a USB connector and an analog audio connector. Therefore, this cable can transmit
analog audio in addition to keyboard, mouse and video signals. The cable length is 2 metres
(6.5 feet).
Important:
If the audio functionality is wanted, make sure you turn on the audio feature on
your 1754-A1T switch in addition to using the audio-capable ThinkSystem USB
Conversion Cable for Analog KVM cable. See

Rackmount Procedure
1754-A1T switches can only be vertically mounted in 1U (1.75", 4.4 cm) in a standard 19" rack.
To rack-mount it, use the brackets and screws that come with the device.
Step 1: Attach the Cable-Support Bar
You can install the cable-support bar onto the rack-mount brackets to bear all cables
connected to the 1754-A1T switch. The proper position to attach this bar depends on the
switch's front panel position in the rack.
Notes:
•
The 1754-A1T KVM switch can only be installed horizontally into a rack.
•
The installation can be done in racks with either round or square holes.
•
If the front panel will face the front of the rack, fasten the bar to the L-shaped holes far
from the ears of the rackmount brackets.
•
If the front panel will face the rear of the rack, fasten the bar to the L-shaped holes
close to the ears of the rackmount brackets.
