If you are instructed to return the riser-card assembly, follow all packaging instructions, and use any
packaging materials for shipping that are supplied to you.
Installing the riser-card assembly
To remove the riser-card assembly, complete the following steps:
The server comes with one riser-card assembly that contains two PCI Express connectors.
To install the riser-card assembly, complete the following steps:
1.
Read the safety information in “Important Safety Information” on page 1 and “Guidelines for trained
service technicians” on page 115.
2.
Install the PCI cards in the riser-card assembly.
3.
Reconnect any PCI card cables that you disconnected when you removed the riser-card assembly.
4.
If the riser-card assembly is an optional PCI-X riser-card assembly, reconnect the riser-card power
cable
