Chapter 1. Introduction
The ThinkAgile HX2320 Appliance and HX2321 Certified Node servers are 1U rack servers that are fully
qualified and that come with AHV hypervisors preinstalled. It is designed to simplify IT operations and
management for customers through predefined server configurations that are optimized around specific
types of workloads, while conforming to best practices and compliance guidelines for Nutanix.
Note: A Nutanix cluster requires a minimum of three or more servers. The best practice is to use servers of
the same machine type and configuration to provide a balanced and high-performance solution.
In addition, the server is designed to utilize the Lenovo system management tools to create a unified
hardware management solution for Nutanix deployments:
• Lenovo XClarity Administrator , which provides firmware compliance functionality to ensure that the
ThinkAgile HX2320 Appliance and HX2321 Certified Node servers are running the appropriate level of
firmware for Lenovo XClarity Controller, UEFI, and PCIe devices.
• Lenovo XClarity Integrator , which eases the integration into Nutanix Prism.
The ThinkAgile HX2320 Appliance and HX2321 Certified Node hardware is based on the ThinkSystem SR630
rack server.
ThinkAgile HX2321 Certified Node
The ThinkAgile HX2321 Certified Node is engineered for light to medium workloads (business applications
and VDI) and optimized for remote office and branch office (ROBO) environments.
ThinkAgile HX2320 Appliance
The ThinkAgile HX2320 Appliance is engineered for compute-heavy workloads environments.
