To ensure the components you install work correctly without problems, read the following
precautions carefully.

• Always download and apply the latest firmware. This will help ensure that any known issues are
addressed, and that your server is ready to work with optimal performance. Go to

to download firmware updates for your server.
• It is good practice to make sure that the server is working correctly before you install an optional
component.
• Follow the installation procedures in this section and use appropriate tools. Incorrectly installed
components can cause system failure from damaged pins, damaged connectors, loose cabling, or loose
components.
Remove the security bezel
Use this procedure to remove the security bezel.
Before removing the security bezel:
1. Read the safety information and installation guidelines (see “Safety” on page iii and “Installation
Guidelines” on page 56 ).
2. If the server is installed in a rack, extend or remove the server from the rack.
To remove the security bezel, complete the following steps:

Step 1. Use the key to unlock the security bezel to the open position.

Step 2. Press the release latch and pivot the security bezel outward to remove it from the chassis.
