Step 2. Reinstall the PCIe expansion tray (see “Install the PCIe expansion tray” on page 124 ) and remove
the 4U PCIe riser assembly fillers if any are installed.
Step 3. Align the 4U PCIe riser assembly with the rear chassis and the guide pins on the side of the PCIe
expansion tray; then, insert the 4U PCIe riser assembly into the slot.
Step 4. Rotate the lever downward until it clicks. Make sure the 4U PCIe riser assembly is fully seated into
the PCIe expansion tray.
Note:
To maintain proper system cooling, if only one 4U PCIe riser assembly is installed, the 4U
PCIe riser assembly filler must be installed to operate the server.
