Suppression filter with
filter-slide housing
The left holder with the red UV protective filter is
optional. Leica recommends the use of such a filter
to protect the eyes of the observer.
After assembling the illumination system, the filter-
slide housing must be inserted between microsco-
pe body and observation tube.
The fluorescence attachment contains a filter-slide
housing for two suppression filters. The standard
equipment contains one suppression filter. The
second position can be used for an additional
suppression filter.

The filter slide is inserted into the filter-slide
housing on the side. The filter-slide housing has
three lock-in positions. One for bright field
applications (no filter in the beam path). Two
additional positions are for suppression filters.
