Please ensure that your Leica L5 FL is operated
only with inserted filter wheel.
Only then is a perfect air cooling of the light
source possible.
Please ensure that the filter wheel is always
locked in one of the preset lock-in positions.
Operating the light source at an interim position
of the filter wheel can cause the wheel to
overheat. The knurling of the filter wheel features
position marks (the position 0 through 4 are marked
by means of raised points in corresponding
numbers).
The excitation filter is inserted in the Leica L5 FL
cold-light source.
To insert the filter in the filter wheel, the
filter holder must be removed from the lamp.
Next, the filter holder (Fig. 1) must be
disassembled. This requires a Philips-type
screwdriver.
Please ensure that the light source is switched off
and has cooled off before removing the filter
wheel. A warning label is attached as a reminder.
