The fiber-optic light guide for the fluorescence
illumination has a special diameter of 9 mm. For
this reason, the connecting adapter must be
removed before the fiber-optic light guide can be
inserted. First, the outer black ring is completely
removed by turning it counterclockwise (Figs. 1
and 2).
The connecting adapter warms up during operati-
on. Please ensure that it is cooled off before
removing it.
To remove the adapter, first completely
unscrew the black ring.
Next, slightly press the adapter together at the
marked positions and remove it.
The adapter is inserted in reverse order.
Please store the connecting adapter in a safe
place for later use with other fiber-optic light
guides.
Screw the black ring back on the fiber-optics
connection (Fig. 4), but do not tighten it at this
time.
Insert the fiber-optic light guide until it stops
and close the fiber-optics receptacle (Fig. 5).
If other fiber-optic light guides are used:
If fiber-optic light guides with guide pins are used,
it must be observed that it is fitted into one of the
four collet chuck slots.
