8. Operation
For the MON HP output, select
SPLIT
to listen to different signals in the left and right ears of the headphones:
left = the selected monitor source (in mono); right = the PFL bus (in mono). You can use this to keep listening
to say the main PGM output while cueing up another source. The
MODE
key opens another DisplayDock pop-
up called "
". This provides additional settings for the headphone output such as mono, phase reverse,
etc.
MON STUDIO & MON GUEST
For MON STUDIO and MON GUEST, there is a choice of three monitor sources:
PGM 1
,
PGM 2
or
SOFT
. As
above, the SOFT keys are freely assignable via the local matrix. The current selections are shown in green
(MON GUEST) and white (MON STUDIO).
In each case, turn the rotary control to adjust the monitor volume.
Use the
TB
key to talk to the Guests or Studio. The selected monitor source is dimmed by 20dB while talkback
is active.
8.11.3 Monitoring Controls (on DisplayDock)
DisplayDock (Monitoring & Metering)
On DisplayDock, the buttons to the left of the MON CR meter work in parallel with the controls on the Central
Module. You can use these to change the monitor source, or mute (M) and dim (D) the control room monitor
output.
