8.13.1 The Local Matrix
The local matrix allows you to change the default audio assignments for the local IO card slots 1 to 8.
Advanced Page (Local Matrix)
The matrix is divided into two halves: "Sources" at the top and "Destinations" at the bottom.
The available "Sources" are:
·
The monitor outputs: MON CR, MON HP, MON GUEST & MON STUDIO.
·
IN 1 to 8 - the eight stereo inputs from IO Card Slots 3 & 4.
·
MADI 1 to 8 - the first eight stereo inputs from the active MADI port.
·
RAV 1 to 8 - the first eight stereo inputs from the RAVENNA streams.
·
The summing bus outputs: PGM 1 to 4 and AUX 1 & 2.
·
The N-1 bus outputs: for IN 1 to 4 and RAV 1 to 8.
·
PFL - the PFL bus before its level control on the Central Module.
·
PFL SPK - the PFL bus after its level control on the Central Module.
·
Internal TONE.
Each of the "Destination" buttons represents a local stereo output connected to the IO Cards at the rear of
Power Core:
·
Slot 1 (Studio IO) - one LINE OUT plus two headphone outs: HP 1 & HP 2.
·
Slot 2 (No card) - no outputs are available (as this slot is always fitted with a MIC/LINE input card).
·
Slots 3 to 8 - four stereo outs per card. Note that audio can only be connected if the IO Card slot is
fitted with an output card!
The label below the "Destination" button shows the assigned source (e.g. MON CR, MON HP, etc). If a
destination is already assigned, then its button is red. If no audio is assigned, then the button is blue.
