C) Operation, handling
The brake system operates fully automatically and does
not require special handling.
Please note the following information on operating
the handbrake lever:
Pull the handbrake lever strongly, past the dead
point (at least 7 teeth)
. If the trailed implement has the
tendency to roll backwards the handbrake lever is re-
tensioned automatically by the gas-filled spring device.
Simplified operation of the handbrake lever is possible
by inserting the pull rod.
The pulling vehicle must be
connected to the handbrake lever with a break-away
cable.
If the trailed implement becomes separated from
the towing vehicle it will be stopped by the break-away
cable or the handbrake.
D) Servicing, setting
After 20 operating hours
After the first kilometres the transmission device (cables
etc.) and the brake linings will have adapted to the
brake drum. The resulting play must be eliminated by
adjusting the turn buckle in the connecting cable
between overrunning device and axle (brake linkage).
1. Couple empty vehicle to tractor.
2. Turn turn buckle until 60 % to 80 % of maximum
overrunning travel is used when braking.
3. Check that the trailed implement can be pushed
back easily by the tractor. If the trailed implement
brakes the setting must be released somewhat.
4. When the seting is complete the turn buckle / outer
cable must be secured with the counter nut.
E) Quarterly
The bearing points must be lubricated at least every
quarter.
Lubricate Bowden cables with lubricating pump oil (not
with grease).
