Before starting
The following checks must be carried out before the
“TITAN” cutting forage wagon is used:
1. All lubrication points and gear units are provided
with sufficient oil or grease. But for reasons of
safety, all lubrication points and gear units should be
checked and lubricated or topped up if necessary.
2. Check that all lubrication points accept grease and
that all seals are intact.
3. Check tightness of all nuts and bolts.
4. Test operation of vehicles with units switched on.
Listen for unusual noises.
5. After test operation check the machine once again.
If necessary tighten nuts and bolts and re-tension
chains.
6. Ensure that all guards are attached.
7. All TITAN are designed for a PTO shaft speed of
540 rpm.
8. Observe the maintenance instructions for the pto
drive shaft of the metering unit (see the capter
"Starting-up after winter storage")
We recommend a PTO shaft speed of
400 – 500 rpm for fuel economy and smooth
operation.
Attention:
The tightness of the 10 special bolts on the large
chain wheel of the conveyor drum must be checked
at regular intervals, in particular after first use.
Tightening torque: 93 Nm
