Tensioning device for metering roller drive
chains
D models:
The metering roller drive chains are located under the
big rear guard at the LH side.
Both chains are tensioned by a pair of idler sprockets
whose brackets can be adjusted by means of one
locking lever (1) each.
By releasing the locking levers the chains can be
removed from their sprockets without any need to open
the chain-connecting links.
To correct the chain tension release the locking levers
(1) and drive in the tensioning eyelets (2).
Removal of the metering rollers for loading
hay
(D models only)
Remove drive chains from the metering rollers and
drive clamping wedges (1) out of the roller bearings. For
the bottom movable roller it is necessary to release
connecting piece (2) between slide strap and control
lever.
The three metering rollers can now be removed with
bearing hubs and sprocket wheels.
Even if the metering rollers are removed the automatic
cut-out of the moving floor is fully effective.
