In
Speed/Duplex
column, you can configure port speed and duplex mode
of this port. Below are the selections you can choose:
JetNet 4508 V2 (fa1~fa8)/ JetNet 4508f V2 (fa1~fa6):
Auto Negotiation,
10Half (10Mbps Half Duplex mode), 10 Full (10Mbps, Full Duplex mode),
100 Half (100Mbps, Half Duplex), 100 Full (100Mbps, Full Duplex mode)
The RJ-45 copper port default configuration is “Auto Negotiation” and the
fiber port is forced to “100 Full”.
JetNet 4508f V2 (fa7, fa8):
100Full (100Mbps, Full Duplex) only.
In
Flow Control
column, “Symmetric” means that you need to activate the
flow control function of the remote network device in order to let the flow
control of that corresponding port on the switch to work. “Disable” means
that you don’t need to activate the flow control function of the remote
network device, as the flow control of that corresponding port on the switch
will work anyway.
Once you finish configuring the settings, click on
Apply
to save the
configuration.
Technical Tips: If both ends are not at the same speed, they can’t link with
each other. If both ends are not in the same duplex mode, they will be
connected by half mode.
