Turning
To prevent leaf damage losses when you turn the crop
already spread, select a low PTO speed while at the same
time you increase the forward speed.
To make sure that the ratio between travel and PTO speed
is correct, check the scatter pattern achieved. If neces-
sary the ratio has to be modified.
Adjust the driving speed according to the result.
Clear the edge of the field
You can clear the field boundaries either on the right-hand
side or on the left-hand side.
To clear the field boundaries change the position of the
running wheels.
• To clear the right-hand side move the lever to the right-
hand side position.
• To clear the left-hand side move the lever to the left-
hand side position.
Spreading windrows and small night swaths
To make windrows and night swath, you need to install the
dual speed gearbox (optional). See page
10-1
.
Reduce the PTO speed so that the scattering effect is just
given and the crop is handled as gently as possible.
The travel speed depends on the scatter pattern. In case
of certain windrow widths it may be necessary to mount
the implement offset on the tractor to align the swaths with
the rotor pairs.
Working depth
Act on the top link to adjust the tilting angle of the imple-
ment to allow the double spring tines to touch the ground
slightly.
A too deep adjustment causes dirt together with the crop,
harms the grass stubble and exposes the double spring
tines to unnecessary wear.
Check the adjustment at regular intervals during work.
Fold down rotors hydraulically
1. Lift the implement slightly by means of the three-point
hydraulics.
2. Pull rope
(1)
and fold rotors down hydraulically.
NOTE:
If necessary correct the rope length.
3. To check for proper functioning rotate rotors several
turns by hand.
