9.1.3 Transceiver Unit

Perform a close visual inspection of the EM 710 Transceiver
Unit cabinet.

Check that the unit is installed in the correct location, and is
suitably orientated to enable easy maintenance.

Check that the proper mounting bolts have been used, and
that proper torque has been applied.

Check that the unit is not damaged.

Make sure that you have access to the internal part of the
cabinet, from both sides, and that appropriate slack has been
applied to the cables.

Check that the air vents are not blocked.

Check that the sonar room is equipped with proper light for
maintenance work.

Check that the sonar room is equipped with the ventilation
facilities required for continuous operation.
