NOTICE
If the engine is stopped abruptly, the service lives of com-
ponent parts of the engine may be considerably reduced.
Do not stop the engine abruptly except in an emergency.
Do not stop the engine abruptly except the case in an
emergency. If the engine is overheated, do not try to stop it
abruptly but run it at medium speed to allow it to cool
down gradually, and then stop it.
If the engine is stopped during the aftertreatment devices
regeneration, the components may be damaged.
When stopping the engine, stop the aftertreatment devices
regeneration first, and run the engine at low idle for ap-
proximately 5 minutes. Then stop the engine.
Stop the engine according to the following procedure.
1.
Operate the control grip (g) of the lock lever to set it se-
curely to LOCK position (L).
2.
Run the engine at low idle for approximately 5 minutes to
cool down gradually.
3.
Turn the starting switch to OFF position (A), and stop the
engine.
4.
Remove the key from starting switch (1).
