METHOD FOR CHECKING COOLANT LEVEL, ADDING COOLANT

 WARNING

• Do not open the radiator cap unless necessary.

When checking the coolant level, check it with the reservoir tank when the engine is cold.

• Immediately after the engine is stopped, the coolant is hot and pressure is accumulated in the radia-

tor.
You may get burn injury if you remove the cap in this state.
Always wait for the temperature to go down, turn the cap slowly to release the pressure, then re-
move the cap with care.

 

1.

Open the cover (1).

2.

Check  that  the  coolant  level  in  reservoir  tank  (2)  is  be-
tween FULL and LOW marks of the level gauge (G).
If it is insufficient, remove the cap (3) of the reservoir tank
(2), and add the coolant up to FULL mark.
If  the  coolant  level  in  the  reservoir  tank  is  LOW  or  less,
add the coolant according to the following procedure.

1) Remove the bolt (4) and open the cover (5).

2) Remove the bolts (6), and remove the cover (7).
