PDA Diagnostics
Clicking on Diagnostics opens the PDA Diagnostics window

Scan Range and Bandwidth are set according to the method’s
scan range but can be changed for diagnostics
•
Integration Time: by clicking on ‘
?
’ the current light intensity on
the diode array is measured and an optimized integration time is
calculated and displayed after a few seconds.
(Settings: flow cell installed; scan range: 200-400 nm; flow rate:
1 ml/min methanol)
The Integration Time should be below 80 mSec for a completely
new detector and below 160 mSec in any other case

Lamp: Deuterium or Halogen can be selected
•
Mode: Absorption / Intensity (default: Absorption)
•
Check: Checks on the optical system are done and the result is
displayed. If the check is failed repeatedly, please contact
KNAUER or an authorized service engineer.
After performing Check, the shutter will be closed. The shutter
should be opened for other tests.
•
Open / Close Shutter: if shutter control is activated the shutter
can be opened and closed
•
Dark Signal: Dark signal can be measured
•
Set Reference: a reference spectrum will be measured
•
Spectrum: click on this button to measure an absorption or
intensity spectrum
