Applying the Laser
CAUTION
Risk of injury
!
All persons in the operating room, including the patient, must now wear laser protection
goggles.
•
Avoid looking directly into the red pilot laser light!
•
Connect laser fiber (see section 5.2 “Connecting Laser Fibers”, page 37).
•
Check laser fiber (see section 5.3 “Checking the Laser Fiber Using the Pilot Laser”,
page 38).
•
Select laser program (see section 5.12.2 “Selecting a Program”, page 45).
•
Press
LASER READY
key (see section 5.1.5 “Key Field”, page 33).
•
Activate foot switch to start emitting laser radiation.
