• To avoid hazards from spilling hot food, do not use defor-
med or unstable cookware and make sure that handles do
not protrude over the edge of the worktop.
• Pay attention to magnetisable metal objects worn on
the body, as they may become hot near the hob during
use. Gold and silver jewellery are not affected.
• Do not place metal objects such as cutlery or lids
on the hob as they may heat up due to induction.
Fire hazard
• The hob becomes very hot during operation.
Strictly observe the safety distances and instructions
given in this manual.
• Never leave the hob unattended when in use! Food can
boil over, burn, cause harmful smoke or catch fire.
Heated food containing fat, oil or alcohol in particular
can ignite quickly. Therefore, heat them as slowly as
possible.
• In case of fire, cut off the gas and electricity supply and
carefully smother the flames with a lid, fire blanket or
similar.
Never extinguish burning oil or grease with water. After
extinguishing, have the appliance checked by a suitably
qualified professional.
