Do not use the machine in surroundings where sparks,
flames or open fire can be present. Do not smoke near
the machine.
ADDITIONAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS FOR GENERATORS
■
Place the machine on a solid surface. Do not place the machine
on a metal surface.
■
Do not place the machine in the blazing sun. Do not expose
the machine to temperatures over 40 °C. Do not store the machine
in humid surroundings.
■
Before use check whether the power input of the equipment
to be connected is less than the maximum output of the generator.
■
Only connect the equipment when the generator is running at
full speed. Disconnect the equipment before switching off the
generator.
■
Do not connect any other energy sources to the machine.
Do not connect the machine to mains supply.
■
Immediately switch off the generator in one of the following
situations:
- hitches or unstable running of the motor
- decrease of the electrical output
- overheating of the connected load
- excessive vibrating of the generator
- sparking
- presence of smoke or fire
■
Make sure that the generator has enough fuel when connected
to the load.
■
Never add fuel when the machine is running. After use let the
machine cool down for at least 15 minutes before refuelling.
■
Avoid touching hot parts of the machine.
■
Do not store fuel near the machine.
■
The sound absorber and the air filter function as flame catchers
in case of after-burning. Therefore see to it that they are mounted
properly and are in good technical condition.
DESCRIPTION (FIG. A)
This generator was designed to generate electricity to supply electrical
machines or equipment.

Adding fuel (fig. A)
Never add fuel when the machine is on. After use let
the machine cool down for at least 15 minutes before
refuelling. Always use fuel that fulfils the following
specifications: unleaded petrol, octane content at least
85
Never smoke near the machine or the fuel. Never add
fuel in the vicinity of sparks, flames or open fire.
■
Remove the lid (5) from the filler opening.
■
Pour the fuel carefully in the filler opening. Never fill the tank further
than to the top of the fuel filter.
■
Place the lid back on the filler opening.
Starting the motor (fig. A & B)
■
Be sure that no load is connected.
■
Turn the fuel cock (10) to the position “ON”.
■
Fully pull out the choke (11).
■
Put the on/off switch (1) in the position “ON”.
■
Pull gently on the start cord (12) until you feel resistance.
■
Pull the start cord forcefully. Repeat this until the motor is starting.
■
Slowly push the choke again.
Instructions for use
■
Start the motor as described above.
■
To connect an electrical machine or equipment, put the mains plug
in the alternating current output (6).
Load protection device (fig. A)
In case of overload or short circuit, the overload protection device
interrupts the circuit.
Wait at least 1 minute before operating the reset switch (4).
Switching off (fig. A)
■
Be sure that no load is connected.
■
Put the on/off switch (1) in the position “OFF”.
■
Turn the fuel cock (10) to the position “OFF”.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
For good functioning and a long lifespan for the machine, regular
cleaning and maintenance is essential.
Do not perform any cleaning or maintaining activities
while the motor is running.
Do not smoke during the below work.
Do no work in the vicinity of sparks, flames or open fire.
Regularly clean the ventilation slots.
Changing the oil (fig. A)
The oil must be changed after the first 20 operating hours,
and then after every 100 hours or 6 months.
■
Place a receiving bin under the bleeding point.
■
Remove the dipstick (9) from the filling-point.
■
Remove the screw from the bleeding point (8).
■
Tilt the machine slightly forwards to remove all oil.
■
Re-insert the screw and tighten it securely.
■
Fill the crankcase with the prescribed amount of oil.
■
Replace the dipstick.
Checking the oil level (fig. A)
Always check the oil level before starting the motor.
■
Remove the dipstick (9) from the filling-point.
■
Clean the dipstick.
■
Insert the dipstick into the filling hole for a few seconds before
pulling it out again.
■
Check the oil-level. The oil level should be at a rate between high
and low.
■
If the level is below this mark, refill the oil.
– Use a funnel to avoid spilling.
– For easy filling, tilt the machine slightly backwards.
■
Mount the dipstick.
