RF Bridge
The test set uses 16 Bridges (5087-7752) on the front panel for RF Test Ports 3-18. The bridges
provide the signal separation of the source and receiver paths. The test set ports can receive
from or stimulate a signal to the DUT. The RF Test Port connectors are male 3.5 mm. The
coupling factor is approximately -20dB. The insertion loss through the CPLR THRU path is
typically 4 dB at 26.5 GHz.
RF Switch Components
The test set uses 9 mechanical switches that have internal 50 Ω terminations. The switches
select the RF paths from the analyzer’s source and receiver through interconnect cables to the
test set.
Source and Receiver Switch Paths
S10 - Source to Ports (3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8)
Provides control of the Source In path to the test set Ports 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8.
S20 - Source to Ports (9, 10, 11, 12, 13, and 14)
Provides control of the Source In path to network analyzer Port 3 and test set Port 6, 10, and 14.
S30 - Source to Ports (1, and 3-14)
Provides control of the Source In path to network analyzer Port 1 (Cplr Thru) and test set Ports 3
through 14.
S40 - Source to Ports (2, 15, 16, 17, and 18)
Provides control of the Source In path to network analyzer Port 2 (Cplr Thru) and test set Port
15, 16, 17, and 18.
S11- Receiver to Ports (3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8)
Provides control of the Rcvr Out path to the test set Ports 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8.
S21 - Receiver to Ports (9, 10, 11, 12, 13 and 14)
Provides control of the Rcvr Out path to network analyzer Port 3 and test set Port 6, 10, and 14.
S31 - Receiver to Ports (1, and 3-14)
Provides control of the Rcvr Out path to network analyzer Port 1 (Cplr Arm), and test set Ports 3
through 14.
S41 - Receiver to Ports (2, 15, 16, 17 and 18)
Provides control of the Rcvr Out path to network analyzer Port 2 (Cplr Arm) and test set Port 15,
16, 17, and 18.
S37 - Source to Ports (1, and 3-14)
Provides control of the Noise Source path.
