Getting Started
The action taken when [Multi Purpose] is pressed (or when Utilities > Multipurpose is
chosen) depends on the feature selected in the Customize Multipurpose dialog
box ( Utilities > Customize Multipurpose... ).
Setting Up Triggers
Use the graphical user interface trigger controls to set the conditions on which the
oscilloscope will trigger and acquire an input signal. You can set up a variety of
trigger conditions.
For example, to set up an Edge trigger:

Click the T button in the graphical user interface to open the Trigger dialog box.

In the Trigger dialog box, select the Edge trigger type.

Select the Source .
You can choose any channel or the Aux (AUX TRIG IN) or Line (the 50% level of
the oscilloscope's AC power source signal) input as the source for an edge
trigger.

Enter the voltage level at which the oscilloscope will trigger either by using the
Level field or by turning the Trigger Level knob.

Select a rising edge, falling edge, or both edges slope to trigger on.

Select the desired Sweep :
