Note that Fc=0 is used in this example because the multitone signal has been
downconverted to the same IF frequency as the AWG i.e. the carrier frequency is
effectively zero. The spectrum analyzer should be set to operate in normal swept
analysis mode unlike the previous smart mixer example.
It is essential to calibrate the response of the receiver system before it itself can be
used to calibrate the signal generation system. The downconverter mixer and
system should be calibrated at the LO frequency and power of operation. Once
the response of the receiver system is know, a correction file can be created and
downloaded into the spectrum analyzer.
