1 Connect the measurement instruments to the radar generation system as
shown in Figure 18 below.
a During calibration, IQTools requires remote control of the signal analyzer.
Connect a USB cable from the M9573A to the Signal Analyzers’ slave USB
port at the rear of the instrument.
b Synchronize the timing base of the measurement system with the radar
signal generator system by connecting a coaxial cable from the ref clk out
to the rear Ext Ref In port of the Spectrum Analyzer.
c Connect the M1971E smart mixer to the Signal Analyzer as shown. A 10
MHz reference from the Spectrum Analyzer to the Smart Mixer is required
when using dual conversion path. Note that if the Spectrum Analyzer is
already powered up and ready, connect the coaxial cables first before the
USB cable.
