Calibrating system using a down-converter mixer and RF input port
The measurement bandwidth using the external mixer port of Keysight spectrum
analyzer is limited by the instrument’s IF frequency (322.5 MHz). This is somewhat
mitigated by using a Keysight smart mixer in dual conversion path. However, to
measure and calibrate a radar signal that has a bandwidth larger than 3 GHz, the
RF port of the spectrum analyzer can be used. Figure 26 shows a setup which can
be used to calibrate the generation system.
