3 Change the spectrum analyzer detector to averaging by selecting the Trace
measurement function, followed by the Detector tab, and then changing the
Detector to Average .
Next change the detector to rms power averaging by first selecting the Meas
Setup measurement, followed by the Settings tab, and then changing the Avg
Type to Power (RMS) .
Adjust the signal analyzer’s Center Frequency to 79 GHz and Span to 3 GHz
so that the multitone signal can be observed. The spectrum analyzer’s sweep
time might need to be increased so that the spectrum is more stable.
4 If the M8195A SFP is not running, start the application first. Then launch
IQTools and bring up the Instrument Configuration dialog.
Enable the Spectrum Analyzer connected checkbox. Enter the VISA address
of the instrument, which can be obtained by using the Keysight Connection
Expert application. Check the address validity with the Test connection
button. Make sure the Clock Source is set as Leave Unchanged as we are
going to change the path using the M8195A SFP.
The
Instrument Configuration dialog box should appear as shown below in
Figure 20 . Press Ok to close the dialog box.
