FMCW settings
The controls within this control group determines the FMCW radar signal
parameters. The up-conversion process generates a millimeter wave signal with
both upper and sideband spectrum. All the frequency parameters in this group
refers to the upper sideband spectrum. The radar assistant supports only up
(increasing) or symmetrical (inverted V) FMCW chirps. The radar assistant also
utilizes the M8195A sequencer to generate a periodic pulse train if required.

Symmetrical FMCW

Check this box to select an inverted V FMCW pulse. Otherwise an increasing
FMCW (up chirp) pulse will be created.
Center Frequency

This sets the center frequency of the upper sideband spectrum as shown in
Figure 11 above.
Band wid th
( edit box )
The bandwidth of the upper (and lower) sideband spectrum. The max allowable
bandwidth is 5 GHz and the upper sideband spectrum must be within the 76 to
81 GHz band.
Sweep time
( edit box )
The duration in time of each linear FM sweep cycle.
