1130B-Series Probes User’s Guide

Using Probe Heads

N5380A/B Head Support

The probe amplifier can become damaged if the N5380A/B does not have an

N5380-64701 SMA head support attached. N5380B heads come with the SMA

head support already attached. For older N5380A heads, the head support can be

ordered. As shown in

Figure 32

, the current design of the N5380-64701 has been

changed from the original design. The original design is no longer offered. Both

the original and new design provide the same level of protection for the probe

amplifier and can be attached to both N5380B and N5380A heads.
