DIP switch function 1: Network bias
(bias = preload)

DIP switch S1 connects data line A- to
GND (pull-down).
•
DIP switch S2 connects data line B+ to
5V (pull-up).
•
To function correctly, both switches must
be turned on or off.
DIP switch function 2: Line termination
•
DIP switch S3 applies the 120 Ω termina

tor between the data lines.
•
To function correctly, the terminator
must only be activated at the end (first
and last subscriber) of the data line.
Only required when using the BAC-
net MS/TP!
Connect the RS485 network with the orange
connector.

Observe the notes on connecting MS/TP or
RS485 networks as per 135-2004 (BACnet
standard).
If needed, the BACnet gateway has DIP
switches for network bias and terminator.
