Carrying out an automatic measurement
Settings on the press brake
The following settings must be configured on the press brake to achieve a
correct measurement result:
●
Adjust the decompression path. For a correct measurement result, the
press beam must be moved up far enough and the legs of the workpiece
must be unstressed. For more information, see the Downloads area of
the KEBA website www.keba.com/kemes-downloads.
●
Set a minimum opening stroke of 50 mm to achieve sufficient velocity to
trigger the measurement.
Installation on the upper tool
To carry out an automatic measurement, the device must be installed on the
upper tool.
Caution
Property damage due to incorrect positioning!
The device must be positioned so that, after reaching the target angle, suffi-
cient space remains between the leg and the device.
The following requirements of use must be fulfilled:
●
The upper tool must be magnetic so that KeMes A100 can be installed
on it.
●
KeMes A100 must lie flat on the upper tool.
●
The upper tool must have a gap so that the laser beam can reach the
workpiece unobstructed. This gap in the upper tool causes bending
marks on the workpiece. If these are not acceptable, honing tools or
special tools with a machined slot must be used.
For the installation of KeMes A100 on the upper tool, proceed as follows:
1) Create a gap of approx. 6 mm in the upper tool of the press brake.
2) Attach KeMes A100 so that the laser beam can penetrate the gap unob-
structed and hit both legs of the workpiece at an angle of 90°.
3) Align the device symmetrically using the centering mark.
