Information
For a correct measurement result, the device must be attached in parallel
to the bending edge and is allowed to be mounted only on vertical surfaces.
The vertical position on the upper tool (distance to the bending edge) and
the offset of the tool determine the measurable angle range and the neces-
sary minimum leg length for a valid measurement. For more information, see
the Downloads area of the KEBA website www.keba.com/kemes-downloads.
If assembly on a vertical surface is not possible (e.g. for long, pointed tools
or for use on swivel bending machines), the device can be mounted on an
angled surface and the parameter
MSymRefl
can be set to
Off
. If the laser is
already switched on when the workpiece is inserted, invalid measurement
results may be displayed due to reflections during the insertion process.
The device has now been installed on the upper tool, and a manual mea-
surement can be executed.
Information
To aid in setting up the device, the device can be switched to continuous
measurement mode. In this mode, the laser is active for measurement, and
using a pre-bent part, you can check whether the measurement fields are
on the legs of the sheet or whether the device still needs to be adjusted on
the upper tool.

WARNING!
Personal injury risk due to the bending process!
During the bending process, the device must not be operated! Prior to oper-
ation, the press brake must be switched to a safe state.
