Figure 4.1
a.
Input power: Provides the AC power needed for the UPS rectifier circuit and charger.
b.
UPS input isolation transformer: This is an optional purchase equipment; its goal is to isolate system power in order
to avoid affecting the input main power due to UPS abnormalities.
c.
UPS rectifier input EMI Filter: Suppresses the electromagnetic interference signals at the power side or UPS rectifier
input side.
d.
Backfeed relay for the UPS input terminal: Safety relay; the backfeed relay is opened during DC mode to prevent
dangerous voltage from remaining at the input terminal.
e.
UPS rectifier input fuse: Provides over-current protection for the UPS rectifier circuit.
f.
PFC rectifier: Converts the AC voltage to DC voltage when the main power is normal, and corrects the power factor
of the input AC power.
g.
Inverter generator: Converts the DC voltage to AC voltage.
h.
Output relay: Used as the switch between inverter and bypass; the UPS will automatically switch the output from the
inverter to bypass output when there’s an overload or when there’s UPS abnormality.
i.
UPS output EMI Filter: Suppresses the electromagnetic interference signal at the UPS output side to avoid mutual
interference between the load and UPS.
j.
UPS output power: Provides stable AC power needed for the load.
k.
Charger: Charging device for the battery.
l.
Booster: Boosts the battery voltage to the DC voltage needed by the inverter when the main power is abnormal.
m.
External battery module: External battery modules can be added when longer backup power time is needed.
n.
Battery input fuse: Protects the battery when the DC booster circuit malfunctions.
o.
Communication interface: Includes 1 RS-232, 1 optional USB and 1 optional slot (shared with a set of RS-232).
p.
Communication expansion slot: Provides a hot-swappable slot for the optional interface card; provides development
and application for diverse needs.
q.
Optional interface cards: Includes SNMP card, dry contact card, RS-232 card and USB card.
