APPENDIX II 

M O U N T I N G   S T E N C I L   2  

Stencil 2 ships with a tripod adapter plate for ease of mounting with handheld or vehicular 
applications. This plate uses the world-wide standard 

¼

-20 tripod mounting thread.  

It also ships with the Feature Tracker adapter plate with two different locations for the 

¼

-20 

mounting tripod thread.  

For applications requiring a more substantial mounting interface, the tripod adapter plate can be 
removed providing access to four M4 threaded holes on the bottom of Stencil. Use these 
threaded holes for mounting.  

Be sure to use an appropriate length bolt so you do not warp or drive through the threaded coil 
insert. Attaining a thread depth of 6mm (

¼

 inch) for the coil insert will ensure a secure fixture.
