Removing the battery

Requirements

– Park the truck securely, see page 60.
– Expose the battery, see page 36.

Tools and Material Required

– Battery replacement trolley (

)

Procedure

• Remove the battery connector (43)

from the truck.

• Place the battery connector (43) on the

battery (48).

• Pull the battery lock (47) up and anti-

clockwise as far as it will go

• Pull the battery (48) off the truck.

Observe the battery replacement trolley operating instructions.

The battery is now removed.

Installation is carried out in the reverse order.

CAUTION!

Trapping hazard

Trapping hazard when removing and installing the battery.

When removing and installing the battery do not put your hands between the
battery and the chassis.
