Calibration of Instrument
Zero Calibration
The instruments have all been factory calibrated using weights certified by the National Institute of Standards
and Technology (NIST). Factory calibration information is stored directly on the instrument itself. Should the
Console ever begin to display erroneous information from an instrument, the factory calibration can be restored
from within the Commander Echo Console menus, see “Restoring Factory Calibration” on page 16 for more
information. If necessary, a full calibration can also be performed. Refer to “Performing a Full Calibration” on page
17 for further information on this process.
In order to continue testing with a high level of accuracy, the Commander Echo unit requires a zero calibration of
the instrument being used prior to the start of each exam. For more detailed explanation of this process, refer to
the “Performing an Exam” on page 16.

Product Registration
Please register your Commander Echo System as soon as possible. Your registration ensures that you have easy
access to JTECH Medical Customer Service and Support. Software registration is required to receive your site key,
which is necessary to run the software.

Repair Policy
Important Notice:
JTECH will not accept any products without a JTECH issued RMA number.
Warning:
Commander Echo Console and instruments have no user serviceable parts.
To have your Commander Echo Console or Testing Instrument repaired
Although the Commander Echo Console and JTECH Medical testing instruments are manufactured with great
care, and tested thoroughly prior to shipment, it is possible that your Echo or accompanying instruments may
require repair. If this unlikely event arises, please follow these instructions in order to ensure accurate and prompt
servicing of your instruments.

Contact JTECH Medical Customer Support at 1-800-985-8324 ext. 4 to obtain a Return Material Authorization
(RMA) number.
2 .
Carefully package all instruments, mark the RMA# on the outside of the package, and ship the instruments
using a service that offers both insurance and tracking of your package. Return the Commander Echo
component (including all accessories) postage paid and insured to JTECH Medical.
Notice:
JTECH reserves the right to refuse or to return-collect any merchandise sent for repair without prior
authorization from our Customer Service Department. Please refer to page 47 for steps on requesting an RMA.
