3. SAFETY MATTERS
3.4. BATTERY
Warning (Risk of Injury)
There is a risk of electric shock when working on high-voltage components. Work on
high-voltage components requires special training, qualifications and tools.
•
Work which has not been described and explained may only be performed by
correspondingly trained JetSurf specialists. (Your Authorized JETSURF Dealer will
be glad to help you.)
•
Do not open the electric motor or the JetSurf Battery Pack.
Warning (Risk of Injury)
The motorized surf runs very quietly , even when it is ready to operate.
•
Ensure that the motorized surf is switched off while any work is being performed
on the motorized surf.
•
Remove the Battery Pack from the motorized surf before you start any work on
the motorized surf.
•
Protect the motorized surf against access from unauthorized persons while you
are performing work on the motorized surf.
Warning (Fire hazard)
Damaged rechargeable lithium – ion battery (JetSurf Battery Pack) presents a fire
hazard. Major mechanical damage may cause an internal cell short circuit and cause
the battery self – ignition.
•
Contact the JetSurf Dealer immediately if major damage to the rechargeable
lithium – ion battery (JetSurf Battery Pack) has occurred and put it out of danger
on health or ignition of other subjects close by.
3.5. PROTECTIVE CLOTHING
Warning (Risk of Injury)
Missing or
wearing
poor protective clothing presents an increased safety risk.
•
Wear appropriate protective clothing. (Helmets are therefore a mandatory
accessory and should be manufactured to wear on the water, fit properly and be
relatively lightweight.)
•
The use of an arm or leg leash is compulsory and must be used at all times while
using JetSurf Electric.
•
The long hair should be tied up or secured in some fashion so that the hair cannot
become entangled in the
motor
´s moving JetSurf Electric. Do not operate the
motorized surf
if you are not fit to ride due to alcohol, drugs or medication.
