1. General
1.1 Introduction
The HMCflex offers a wide range of functions for the management and monitoring of both conven-
tional and electronically controlled diesel engines. The settings can be individually configured for the
widest variety of applications and different versions of the engine. For example, the HMCflex can pro-
vide preheat, glow or afterglow for the engine up to 70 A, depending on the time and temperature. The
oil pressure, along with the engine temperature, can be monitored using switches or sensors. An input
for monitoring the alternator as well as an aux. input are also available. The operating magnet along
with another magnet, for example for speed regulation, are controlled via the outputs for hold and pull
coils. In addition, an alarm output and an auto boot function are available and the engine can be
switched off via an external stop input.
For use on wood chippers in addition the decrease of the chipping disc speed, the feeder will be
stopped. The feeder can be turned off manually with key switches also. For reasons of personal safety
the reverse mode is activated first after a restart, before the feeder is active.
On the double-spaced display you can view important operating parameters as well as the engine's
operating hours.
Further parameters can be displayed in the framework of customised software.
