O P E R A T I O N

Loading New Firmware

Loading New Firmware

All JNSGyro-4T boards (one by one) must be loaded with the same firmware
version. Use the latest firmware version, available for download from the JNS
website (http://www.javad.com), to ensure your boards have the most recent
updates.

Notice:

Because the JNSGyro-4T system consists of more than
one receiver boards, every board should be loaded with
the same new firmware version.

Notice:

The JNSGyro-4T’s boards should be loaded with
firmware version 2.3 or newer.

Firmware is released as a compressed file that you download and decompress.
This file contains the following three files:

• ramimage.ldr - the Receiver board RAM file

• main.ldp - the Receiver board Flash file

Notice:

You must load two files when loading new firmware.
These files must come from the same firmware package.

Use FLoader, a Windows®-based utility, to load firmware onto the boards. You
can download FLoader to your computer from the JNS website (http://
www.javad.com). For more information, refer to the

FLoader User's Manual

also available on the JNS website.

Download and install FLoader, if applicable.

Download the new firmware package to your computer.

Connect selected board and computer using the RS232 cable, as described in

“Connecting the JNSGyro-4T and a Computer” on page 2-3.
