Option Authorization File (OAF)
Javad Navigation Systems issues an Option Authorization File (OAF) to enable
the specific options that customers purchase. An Option Authorization File
allows customers to customize and configure four JNSGyro-4T’s boards
according to particular needs, thus only purchasing those options needed.
Typically, all JNSGyro-4T boards ship with a temporary OAF that allows the
system to be used for a predetermined period. When the JNSGyro-4T is
purchased, new OAFs activate desired, purchased options permanently. Board
options remain intact when clearing the NVRAM or resetting the system.
Because the JNSGyro-4T system consists of more than one receiver boards,
every board should have its own OAF. The OAF enables the following kinds of
functions for JNSGyro-4T’s boards:
• Type of signal (standard L1; optional L2)
• Memory (standard 0 MB; optional up to 1024 MB)
• Update rate standard 20 Hz
• RTK at 1 Hz, 5 Hz, 10 Hz, and 20 Hz
• RTCM/CMR Input/Output
• Event marker
• Advanced multipath reduction
• Wide Area Augmentation System (WAAS)
• Receiver Autonomous Integrity Monitoring (RAIM)
• 1 PPS (Pulse-Per-Second; a timing signal)
