speed you will feel that your car speed
is slower that its actual speed. Before a long-distance driving, make
sure that you are well prepared. Having
a good rest in advance is necessary. If
you have to start out when you feel a
little tired, you had better not drive too
long a distance at the beginning.
Check the following components befo
-re your long-distance driving:
-Check if the washing liquid tank is full
and if inside and outside surfaces of
windows are clean.
-Check if the wiper blade is under
normal condition.
-Check if fuel, engine oil and other
fluids reach their specified levels.
-Check if all vehicle lamps work
normally.
-Check if all lamp lens are clean.
-Check if tire treads are suitable for a
long-distance driving and if all tires are
inflated to the recommended value.
Long-distance driving Driving under rainy and
slippery condition
Driving under rainy day or on a slippery
road is a little difficult. That is because
tire adhesion is weaker than that on a
dry road. A relatively weak tire adhes
-ion will cause a poor braking, accele
-rating or turning performance. If tire
tread is worn, tire adhesion will get
weaker. When it rains heavily, visibility
will get poorer. In addition, it is hard to
distinguish direction posts, traffic ligh
-ts, side strips and pedestrians even
when the wiper blade functions norm
-ally. Therefore, in such case, you had
better drive slowly and carefully.
Make sure that the front windshield
wiper is in good condition and that the
front windshield washing fluid tank is
full. If the wiper blade does not work
smoothly or leaves some zones unwi
-ped or if its rubber strip begins to
break away from the wiper blade,
replace the wiper blade.
