unit is first selected or enabled.
For multi-axis sets (such as acoustic reflectors) there are additional parameters relating to the hanging points.
These include:
•
Width between mounts – set for the stage left to stage right distance between hanging points.
•
Depth between mounts – set for the upstage-downstage distance between hanging points.
To change a parameter, click on the numeric value in the left-hand column. An appropriate keypad will pop up
to permit a new value to be entered. When done changing values, touch the "Save Set" button at the bottom
of the window to save the new values.
DELETE SETS
To remove a set from the current show, highlight the set and touch the "Dissociate Set" button. The
confirmation prompt will ask whether you want to remove the set permanently. If the set is removed
permanently, all information about the model dimensions and default speed values will be purged from the
show. If the set is not removed permanently, then the set will be excluded from the list of sets in active use
within the current show. If need be, the set can easily be added back in at a later time.
CREATE SETS
To create a set, touch the "Create New Set" button on the Sets list window. This will open up a blank Edit Set
window. The first step is to designate the Set Class, using the pull-down menu. In the current configuration
of the system, there are two set classes: fixed speed, and variable speed. Other set classes are available,
including travelers, reflectors with 1, 2 or 3 axes of motion (pitch, roll, elevation), etc. This example shows a
fixed speed set.
The next step is to enter a set name. If the desired set name is not available on the pull-down, touch the
"New Set…" button to open a keyboard and enter a new name. When the Done key is pressed, the keyboard
disappears, and the new set name will appear on the "Set:" pull-down list. Pop up this list, scroll down and
highlight the new name to select.
The list of dimension (and speed, if variable-speed) parameters will appear in the left-hand pane in this
window. The values in the value column will be blank. Touch the blank space in the value column next to
each parameter description to pop up a keypad and enter new values. The parameter values are as
described under "Edit Sets", above.
When done entering the parameters, a
motor is assigned to the set. A motor
can only be assigned to one active set
at a time in a given show, so the
available motors will be listed in the
upper right pane of the Edit Set window.
To assign a motor, the operator touches
(or clicks and holds) the desired motor,
and drags the motor to the "Motors
used by this set" pane at the lower right
corner. Once a motor is assigned, touch
the "Create Set" button to save this set.
EDIT MOTORS
Once logged in with System Level password privileges, the operator goes to the System Config window and
touches the Motors button to get to the list of motors.
