system overview
The inVENTer iV12-Smart ventilation system comprises a wall sleeve in which a thermal
accumulator with fan is installed, an inner cover and a weather protection hood. It is generally
installed in an external wall. The standard length of the wall sleeve is 495 mm. For thicker walls,
you have the option of ordering wall sleeves with a length of 745 mm, which can then be cut to
the appropriate length when the wall is inished.
The inVENTer iV12-Smart ventilation system works according to the regenerator principle. A
ceramic thermal accumulator is charged with warm air through a reversible fan or discharged
with cold air. The integral thermal accumulator is charged up with the heat of the warm indoor air
when it lows outside (exhaust air). If the fan changes direction, it transfers the accumulated heat
to the supply to the outdoor air (supply air).
To ensure that this principle works correctly and that the volumes of supply air and exhaust air
correspond, at least two inVENTer iV12-Smart ventilation units are required. One ventilation unit
works in supply air mode and the other works in exhaust air mode. After 70 seconds, the fan
changes its rotational direction.
The inVENTer iV12-Smart ventilation unit is controlled via one of the following inVENTer system
controllers:
• ZR8
• MZ-One
• ZR10-D
The design of the inVENTer iV12-Smart ventilation system is based on experiences with our
successful iV14 ventilation system in accordance with DIBt approval Z-51.3-156.
