5.15 Replacing Screw-On Seat Upholstery
WARNING!

After any adjustments, repair or service and before
use, make sure all attaching hardware is tightened
securely. Otherwise injury or damage may occur.

The seat upholstery and/or cushion MUST be cleaned
regularly and/or replaced if incontinence is frequent.
The risk of pressure sores is significantly higher with
seat upholstery that is wet and/or soiled.
1.
Remove the seat cushion from the wheelchair.
2.
Remove the twelve mounting screws that secure the existing
seat upholstery to the seat frame.
3.
Remove the existing seat upholstery.
5.16 Replacing/Adjusting Optional Adjustable
Angle Footrest
A footrest for short leg lengths is available as an option. It
has an adjustable footplate with 2 inch spacers and longer
mounting screws that attach the footrest to the footrest
tube.
Replacing the Footrest
1.
Loosen, but do not remove the allen screw of the two clamps

that secure the footrest to the wheelchair frame.
2.
Slide the existing footrest tubes

out of the wheelchair frame

and install new footrest by reversing this step.
3.
Position the new footrest to a determined height.
4.
Tighten the allen screw of the two clamps

5.
Adjust the footplate
