INSTALLING THE SOLID FOLDING SEAT
(FIGURE 2)
1. Remove the existing seat upholstery from the
wheelchair. Refer to REPLACING THE SEAT
UPHOLSTERY in PROCEDURE 3 of this
manual.
2. Slide solid folding seat with the seat brackets
attached over the crossbraces.
3. Position the seat brackets in between the H-
blocks of the seat frame.

1. Secure the top of the telescoping I.V. rod holder
to the wheelchair frame with a tie wrap.

After making adjustments, always make sure
that parts are properly tightened BEFORE us-
ing the wheelchair.
NOTE: The options in this section refer to NON-
RECLINER MODELS ONLY, refer to PROCE-
DURE 10 for 9000XT Recliner options.
NOTE: Refer to Procedure 1 - General Guidelines
which include GENERAL WARNINGS for the 9000SL,
9000XT, 9000XDT, and 9000XT RECLINER.

Safety and Maintenance
1. Check weekly to make sure the telescoping I.V.
rod/O
2
holder is tightly secured to the wheelchair
frame. If there is any looseness whatsoever, DO
NOT use until the corrective adjustments have
been made.
2. The telescoping I.V. rod/O
2
holders clean easily
with any household glass type cleaner.
Telescoping I.V. Rod Holder Only:
1. Make sure the telescoping I.V. rod is tightly locked
before placing I.V. medication on the rod.
2. The telescoping I.V. rod is designed for the spe-
cific purpose of supporting I.V. medication only.
DO NOT use it to support objects other than I.V.
medication.
Mounting Instructions
1. Slide telescoping I.V. rod/O

holder over the step
tube of the wheelchair.
NOTE: Mounting bracket of telescoping I.V. rod/
O2 holder should be positioned between the two
(2) axle mounting positions on wheelchair frame.
2. Secure telescoping I.V. rod/O
2
holder to the wheel-
chair frame with hex screw, spacer and locknut.
