Console Redirection Enable
This bit reads the status of switch
SW4-4
. A logical 0 means that SW4-4 is open and
console redirection is not enabled. A logical 1 means SW4-4 is closed and console
redirection is enabled. Refer to the "Console Redirection" chapter in the
Intel
NetStructure Embedded BIOS Manual
before attempting to use this feature.

Software Configuration
These bits are used to provide configuration information to the user's software by
monitoring the status of the Software Configuration
SW4
segments listed below. An
open switch reads back a 0; a closed switch reads back a 1. The bits correspond to
switch segments as follows:

= SW4-3

Ethernet Channel B Front/Rear panel Switching
This bit controls the MUX used to switch Ethernet channel B between the front and
rear panel. A logical 0 selects the front panel. A logical 1 selects the rear panel. The
power up default is 0. This is also a BIOS selectable option.
